Introducing Pathfinder Society to Anchorage & Wasilla! This group is for all those interested in Paizo’s Pathfinder game and their RPG organization Pathfinder Society in the Anchorage/Wasilla Area. We have created this page to introduce those interested in the Pathfinder Society to each other and to pass along the Pathfinder Society play at Bosco’s Comics Cards & Games and other locations in Anchorage every other Saturday. Pathfinder Society Organized Play is a worldwide fantasy roleplaying campaign that puts YOU in the role of an agent of the Pathfinder Society, a legendary league of explorers, archaeologists, and adventurers dedicated to discovering and chronicling the greatest mysteries and wonders of an ancient world beset by magic and evil.

The campaign’s home base is sprawling Absalom, the so-called City at the Center of the World, that stands astride the great Inner Sea on the mountain-capped Isle of Kortos. A Pathfinder’s adventures explore the dark alleys and political intrigue of Absalom between far-flung travels to the most interesting and exotic locales in the world of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, you play a member of the Pathfinder Society, seeking fortune and glory all over the face of Golarion. At the same time, your character works for one of the competing factions, all with their own motivations and secret agendas.

Play is organized into Seasons, throughout which the actions and achievements of you and your fellow Pathfinders create an ongoing storyline. Each season consists of at least 28 Pathfinder Society scenarios (short, 4-hour adventures) set in a variety of exotic locations across Golarion.

Also you can access the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. I suggest you read it over to learn the rules on character creation and other things about Org Play.

Some other useful Pathfinder Society links and downloads

• Character Options – A specific list of Paizo Publishing products and the equipment, traits, deities, spells, feats, and classes contained within that are legal for play in Pathfinder Society Organized Play. While most of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook is legal for play (with some feat and spell exceptions), these additional resources give you new character options. If a product does not appear on this list, then it is not considered legal for play.
• Scenarios

As soon as you can please join and register into the Pathfinder organization so you can get credit for the scenarios you play in. Both can be done from the link above. Please bring your Pathfinder Society Org number to the game.

A great source for information on the world of the Pathfinder Society, Golarion, can be found on the Pathfinder Wiki. The Pathfinder Wiki is a fan run page that adds all the info from the RPG books from Paizo that deal with Golarion. It is a great resource for making a deep background story for your character and to help with roleplaying in the game, Which we are hoping to get out of you all, our goal not to be running a Combat Mini game, but an interactive roleplaying game.

Some of you may not be familiar with the Pathfinder Roleplaying game, the Paizo , the best way of course to become familiar with the rules is to buy the book, or the PDF (which is only $14.99!), but a good resource to learn the rules is the Archives of Nethys which is free full rules on Piazo’s official partnered site.

So other useful resources are:

• Hero Lab Online – Official Sponsored Character Creator, also includes Character Generation for PFS characters. The program costs $24.99 which includes any one Data set of your choice and a subscription fee as low as $9.99 for 6 months.
